Cake Donuts



1 egg1 tsp butter
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 cup milk
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup flour + 2 cups

Beat together egg, butter and white sugar. Then add the remaining ingredients. Knead in about 2 more cups of flour to make a soft dough. Roll out, cut and fry until golden brown.
