Meatpies
5 lbs ground pork
5 lbs ground beef
5 medium onions, chopped
Place in big pot and add 3 cups water. Simmer until meat is browned.
Add 4 medium cooked potatoes that have been mashed.
salt & pepper to taste
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 tsp. savoury
dash of ground clove
Put spices to meat mixture...add 2 tbsp flour to thicken. Mix well. Cook on low heat and take out grease that will go to the top. Put meat in pie shells, cover with top shell. Bake at 375 F until crust is cooked. If you want to make them ahead and freeze them, bake only until crust is lightly browned, cover with foil, put in plastic bags and freeze. Makes 8 meatpies.
